Adam Janowski and Merv have been working on the new kitchen for the clubhouse for quite a while now. It has finally come together thanks to Adam’s efforts and with special thanks to Jamie Barnes of Barnes Unique Joinery of Laurieton, along with Ian Bailey.
These guys have provided a purpose-built custom kitchen for us at little or no cost, please support them if you have any kitchen requirements.
Saturday 3rd of March saw Adam and Merv on-site unpacking our new kitchen in the rain and fitting it into the clubhouse. Adam’s motto of “measure twice, cut once” was religiously followed and no extra cuts were needed. Some adjustments were required because of some strange levels within the Atco floor, but a compromise saw a successful fit out.
We sure the ladies will love the bench tops, 1¾ bowl sink, the mixer tap and a special self-closing doors. Room has been allowed for a cook top or fridge. Further additions of a microwave and jug will complete things and it is planned to have a “fold out servery” on to a proposed deck.
The club is progressing well and recently has acquired.
- A brand-new 11 kVA generator.
- A purpose-built 3-D target trailer.
- New hire equipment, bows etc.
The committee would like to thank all the members who have given their energy and time.
