During Sat 30th of November and Sun 1st of December we saw around 30 club members turn up for the 3D afternoon shoot and later festivities with accompanying food. Craig and the boys had set out an excellent 10 shot 3D range but it was to no avail, the weatherman got it wrong as rain showers persisted through out the afternoon and evening, regardless, he will make a great Range Captain.
While the campfire burnt strong in Peter’s excavator bucket, it was too wet to sit around it very long.
Food and drinks were served at around 7pm, everyone tucked in and had a few beers. Craig’s sponge cake, complete with club insignia tasted great too! The good times rolled on into the night as we sat around and told all those hard to believe archery stories, with several sleeping overnight on the grounds and enjoying breakfast the next morning.
The range and clubhouse looked great thanks to all those who helped at the working bee the prior Sunday. All in all it was a wet one but we still enjoyed a successful year and Christmas party. We look forward to seeing you all back sometime in February (check back here on the website for dates)
