About Us
The Hastings Valley Archery Club is located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia between the townships of Port Macquarie and Wauchope.
The club is a Non Profit Organisation, registered with the Office of Fair Trading and has been accredited as a ‘Hunter LEAP Provider’ under clause 12 of the Game and Feral Animal Control Regulation 2012 by the NSW Department of Primary Industries Game Licensing Unit. The club's 'Rules of Association' document is available here.
The club’s main objective is to promote Archery as family-oriented sport for all ages and gender. Apart from the competitive side, we strongly promote the social and fun aspect of the sport. We believe in being an active club that aims to build a healthy and dynamic environment for all our members, with a particular emphasis on encouraging our juniors. The friendly interaction and learning process in a safe and fun environment help make it a unique club.
The club is fortunate to operate on a NSW State Forest under a permit provided by the Forestry Corporation of NSW. Visit Forestry Corporation's website for information on visiting state forests, or follow the 'Visit NSW Forests' facebook page here.
Members of the public who are interested in trying out archery are encouraged to attend a "Come and Try Archery Open Day” - please see our events page for upcoming Open Day dates. Booking are essential, click through to a chosen date for detailed information, pricing and booking instructions. Club membership is offered at Open Days for those that are bitten by the bug!
Seasoned Archers or members of the public who have attended an Open Day are welcome to join the club electronically via the 'Become A Member' link above. Members may then attend our Club Shoot days. The club shoots approximately every fortnight at the club's grounds - please see our events page for a list of upcoming events.
Members from other Archery Clubs / Associations are more than welcomed to join us on our club shoot days. Proof of membership of another club/association is required.
The club is active on Facebook. Our Facebook page is an excellent source of news and information on club happenings. We invite you to like the club's page to keep up to date. Questions can be directed to committee members via Facebook Messenger using the 'Send Message' button at the top of the page. Committee members are volunteers with day jobs, so please forgive any delays in responding.
