About the Hastings Valley Archery Club
The Hastings Valley Archery Club is located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia between the townships of Port Macquarie and Wauchope.
We're a socially-orientated club with membership open to everyone - archery is a sport for the entire family regardless of age or ability. The club primarily shoots the '3D' style of archery (rubber animals in the forest), but we welcome all archers regardless of shooting style.
The club does not shoot competitively and we are not affiliated with any archery associations such as Archery Australia, the ABA or 3DAAA. We do however welcome and encourage anyone who would like to shoot on the competitive archery circuit to join and use our facilities.
Potential new members who are not experienced archers should first attend one of our 'Come and try Archery' Open Days (where tuition is provided). We do not provide tuition to new archers on our normal club shoot days.
Experienced archers are welcome to join and attend our next club shoot. Please read the 'Become a member' page carefully before completing the application process (by follow the link at the bottom of the 'Become a member' page).
Members from other clubs / associations are welcome to join us on our regular club shoot days, though proof of club or association membership is required.
All regular club events are held on a Sunday morning (though special events may be held other days), with certain weekends skipped due to calendar events (long weekends, mother's / father's day, etc.) We have a hiatus over Christmas and through January. See our scheduled events here.
Our archery range is located several minutes drive down the Pacific Highway from the donut on the Wauchope side. We're at the corner of Burrawan Forest Drive & Cowarra Access Road, opposite the Go-Kart Track. The club operates on NSW State Forest under permit from Forestry Corporation of NSW.
Our club provides a smoke-free environment for members. No smoking is permitted on club grounds. Enclosed footwear is a mandatory requirement for all shooters.
